Reblogged from criminal-minds-confessionsTHE SEASON FINALE WAS SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reblogged from criminal-minds-confessionsAs sad as this makes me I felt the whole season that they were trying to replace Prentiss with JJ. Especially during scenes when JJ was; talking with kids, speaking other languages, being paired with Morgan, having private moments with Morgan, being kick-ass,…
I liked more JJ this season, maybe If I didn’t know they weren’t aware of Paget leaving until they wrote the last few episodes I’d agree but, yeah.
Before season seven started I was really hoping they’d actually develop some kind of… Anything between JJ and Morgan, because it just didn’t exist and it was starting to infuriate me that they’d ignored a team relationship so much when it would have been easy to develop it. I can understand why there isn’t much, Garcia and Rossi for example, Garcia isn’t around Rossi enough to really make much of it, but JJ and Morgan have been in the field together for 5 years… Why did we have nothing? It bugged me they’d neglected it, so I’m very very pleased we’ve got something of them now.
JJ’s always been good with kids though! The episode in season five… The one with the killer who was the server in the diner who killed the little girl’s dad in church, JJ was perfect with her! She was playing tea party with her.
I’m gonna ignore the kick ass thing, JJ has always been kick ass, will always be kick ass and I’m not going to hear anybody say anything else.
I do admit I noticed that JJ was the one speaking Spanish to Angel, it stuck me as odd but I just figured they wanted Prentiss to have the bigger role working with the psycho’s daughter.
Now you know I’m the massive Prentiss defender and I love her, but I don’t think Emily was sacrificed this season for JJ at all. I think maybe we’re just not used to having two female profilers on the team. We’re used to seeing the action split between the guys, Hotch and Morgan for example take it in turns for physical ass kicking, but we’ve never seen the show where we’ve had two female profilers on the exact same level. They’ve actually given us, on TV, two equal female personas, who are just as kick ass as the guys on the team.
Why should we only get one?
And when I say ‘they’ve given us’, I mean the writers, not CBS.

Remember when Reid was a main character?
Yes. And he still is. Just because they put a little more focus on other characters on the show doesn’t mean that they’re neglecting Reid. This isn’t the Spencer Reid Show - pretty much everyone on the team is the main character. He still gets to say lots of smart/useful stuff in EVERY episode while sometimes other characters don’t even get a sentence of anything memorable.
So, get over yourself and stop complaining that Reid doesn’t enough screen time or he’s not as important or the writers neglected him. He’s still very much part of the show.

Reblogged from thisjobiswhoiamKids actually like Spencer, could he be any cuter?
